
Arminda Ferreira has a background in the creative world o f arts and event management. Originally from Portugal, she moved to London in 2001, where she spent over 15 years managing events i n the arts and dance sectors. After experiencing burnout and chronic back pain, she discovered yoga - a turning point that led her toward a path of healing and self-discovery.
She is trained in traditional yoga schools in Goa, Rishikesh, and
Chennai, following the Krishnamacharya and Pattabhi Jois lineages since 2018. Her teaching style blends multiple traditions, focusing o n breath, movement, and mindfulness to create a grounded, accessible practice.
Arminda is also a certified massage therapist (Level 3, Sports &
Therapeutic Massage) and fluent i n Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, and conversational French. She currently teaches yoga and mindfulness in studios, offices, prisons, community centers, parks, and online via Insight Timer app.
Arminda is now opening her own studio in Martim Moniz - Lisbon under the name of Sukharma yoga studio where her aim is to bring authenticity to yoga practices and show the potential of yoga away from the concept of a physical exercise.
Her mission is to share safe, healing practices that support physical and mental well-being, making yoga accessible to all.
