James Dazell

I am a writer of poetry, novels, plays. I have written two novels, four plays, several collections of poetry, and created poetry films. I have taught scriptwriting with City Academy London. I have been published for my creative writing in Dazed & Confused, Boys By Girls Magazine, and in collaboration with the English National Ballet.

I have collaborated on literary performances with installation artists, classical music composers, photographers, and visual artists. My interest is in literature, and interdisciplinary performance, especially that incorporates literary arts.

I was awarded a prize in the first Prada Feltrinelli literary competition. I currently have expanded into video. I create poetry films of my own original work. In addition, I create education in-depth videos on experimental and renowned artists working in literature, theatre, and dance.

I have a masters degree in History of Art. I am based near Manchester England, but for the past two years I have been embedding myself in Madrid and frequently visiting with long-term aspirations there as it assimilates more closely with my work.

I am willing to travel. I have an Irish citizenship through dual-heritage with Britain and Ireland so I have right to live and work in the EU. My native language is English but I have intermediate reading and conversional ability with Spanish and Italian.
