I am a self-taught macramé artist. I learned macramé through different resources such as YouTube, Instagram, and from a family member who introduced me to the craft.
I studied Education and specialized in Behavior Analysis, graduating in 2019. While I enjoyed my studies, I always had a strong passion for art and creativity. I have always loved making things by hand and expressing myself through creative work.
In 2021, I started my own home-based macramé business. Since then, I have spent nearly six years developing my skills and exploring different techniques, knots, and patterns. Throughout this journey, I have created many custom pieces using a variety of materials and styles to meet the needs and preferences of my clients.
Every artist has a unique artistic identity that reflects who they are and what they value. After years of practicing macramé, I feel that I have found my own artistic voice. My work is strongly inspired by Emirati heritage and the beauty of nature, two things that are very important to me. I feel most connected to my art when I create pieces that celebrate my culture and reflect the traditions and landscapes that have shaped my identity.
Through my work, I hope to share a part of my culture while creating meaningful and beautiful pieces that people can connect with. As I continue my artistic journey, I look forward to growing as an artist, learning new skills, and creating work that combines creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural inspiration.
