
About Mary Mary Alee is a multilingual actress, creative producer, and movement specialist with over 25 years of international experience across film, theatre, dance, and cross‑cultural performance. Her career spans the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, where she has led and collaborated on projects that weave movement, storytelling, and emotional expression to inspire confidence, resilience, and well‑being. An award‑winning British East Asian performer and ex-flight attendant for Emirates, Mary brings a distinctive perspective that combines artistic precision with human‑centred care. Trained in Chinese classical dance under Professors Li Zhengyi and Ma Lixue, she integrates Eastern and Western traditions with contemporary, mindfulness‑based practice. Her inclusive teaching philosophy supports both creativity and mental health, with a particular focus on trauma informed and community engaged approaches. As a creative producer and culturist, Mary has successfully delivered a diverse range of projects from concept to completion across theatre, film, festivals, and community programmes. Her recent roles include Head of Operations for Mountview’s VIEW Festival 2025, Producer and Writer of Metamorphosis, and Production Manager for the LGBTQ+ short film …and Release. She also serves as a Panel Member for the London Borough of Southwark’s Arts & Culture Team, Founder of Baby Roar Roar Productions, Brand Creative Lead for A Bite of Asia (ABOA London), and UK Representative for STEX Creative Agency. Mary holds a Master’s Degree in Creative Producing, awarded with the higest scholarship and distinction for her final project. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Keele University, researching sustainable creative leadership and the body’s role in artistic recovery and collective creation.
