I am a 28-year-old Pakistani workshop facilitator currently living in Finland, passionate about designing meaningful, culturally sensitive experiences for diverse groups—and slightly obsessed with getting the vibe of a workshop just right.
My facilitation practice draws from a wide range of interests and professional experiences across art, theatre, design, and community work. I studied Art and Design during my Bachelor’s degree and later worked at an art studio, where I learned how to organise and facilitate art therapy workshops. I went on to apply these skills at the Childhood Cancer Care Foundation, where for two years I worked closely with children, families, and healthcare providers, creating creative sessions tailored to each group’s needs. From paint parties and Turkish ebru marbling to medical art-making, I have led over 50 workshops focused on expression, healing, and connection.
I have also facilitated a three-day workshop with children in collaboration with Innovate, Educate, Inspire Pakistan, an NGO working in the remote north of the country. Over those three days, we recycled old paper to create handmade sheets, painted on them, and wrapped things up with an empathy-building session where the children transformed their artwork into “get well soon” cards for children fighting cancer. The program combined sustainability, creativity, and emotional learning—exactly the kind of triple win I love designing.
Alongside this work, I bring over 15 years of experience in theatre and improvisation—which means I am very comfortable with a microphone, a circle of strangers, and the unexpected. I have translated my stage background into skill-development workshops for designers around storytelling, empathy, and persuasive communication, using theatre-based techniques that get people moving, laughing, and thinking. I have delivered these sessions with Erasmus Mundus Master’s students and in collaboration with the Art Academy of Latvia and the Art Academy of Estonia.
In Europe, I have also worked with the European Solidarity Corps and designed cultural workshops for Akwedukt, an NGO in Poland—bringing people together through interactive, playful ways of learning about culture.
Outside the workshop space, you will often find me experimenting in the kitchen. I would love to bring the joy of desi cooking to European audiences through quick, flavour-packed cooking workshops. Above all, I genuinely enjoy curating thoughtful, engaging experiences for groups—always paying close attention to cultural context, atmosphere, and the tiny details that make people feel welcome (snacks included).
