Description

Focus: Culture Building & Radical Inclusion

This is my signature deep-dive workshop. It’s an immersive exploration of how a traditional art form can be modernized to prioritize safety and fun.

  • The Experience: A comprehensive introduction to social dancing that focuses on the "Foxtrot Oscar" philosophy: consent-based partnering, inclusive language, and the joy of the "social." We learn a classic Ballroom or Latin dance in a way that ensures no one is left "waiting on the sidelines."

  • The Corporate "Vitality" Takeaway: This session is ideal for teams looking to strengthen their internal culture. It’s a celebration of diversity and a masterclass in how to create environments where everyone feels seen, respected, and invited to the floor.

Benefits

Diversity, inclusivity, respect, self-esteem, team relationship-building, movement, empathy, fun, joy, cohesion, confidence

About the Host

I am an experienced Ballroom and Latin dance practitioner and former competitor with a lifelong dedication to the art, having competed at the prestigious Winter Gardens in Blackpool since the age of six.

In 2023, I founded Foxtrot Oscar with a clear mission: to dismantle the outdated hierarchies and exclusionary practices often found in the traditional dance world. Having witnessed the impact of gatekeeping and gender imbalances first hand, I am determined to redefine ballroom as a safe, inclusive, and equitable space.

In the corporate sphere, I translate this mission into 'Sessions of Vitality' that focus on Radical Inclusion and Dynamic Communication. My workshops strip away the 'old-fashioned' tropes of ballroom – such as gender-coded roles and passive participation – and replace them with a modern focus on mutual trust, non-verbal consent, and shared leadership.

By using dance as a laboratory for social connection, I help corporate teams build a stronger social fabric where every individual – regardless of identity – feels empowered to lead, follow, and move with confidence.
