Description
The MBLC is a weekly run course held over 10 weeks in total. The course begins with an introductory session, followed by 8 weekly sessions, and concludes with a follow up session. Each session is 2 hours and participants are introduced to 2 mindfulness practices each week. Participants are guided through the practices and are given specific instructions on how to practice each technique on their own throughout the week till the next session. The theory behind each practice is explored and there is space for everyone to share and/or ask questions on any part of their experience. This is an experiential course which means about 80% of the course is dedicated to the actual practices and 20% to theory. Participants are awarded with a certificate of completion by the Mindfulness Association upon completion.

About the Host
I am a professional Mindfulness Coach with experience in implementing positive psychological interventions in my coaching practice. I specialise as a mindfulness teacher and implement a coaching approach in all sessions and interactions. Theory guiding both coaching approaches and mindfulness sessions focuses on human potential to reach higher levels of awareness and one’s best possible self. Character strengths, goal setting and self determination are explored while achieving goals. My experience is over 10 years and includes working with a large variety of groups and individuals. From primary school settings to care home and support settings for people of the third age. I have worked with many health conditions and in many mental health settings, from community hubs, care homes and hospital settings, as well as private settings both face to face and online. My approach follows both the ICF code of ethics and the BAMBA code of conduct. I adapt to the needs of the client by maintaining flexibility and a compassionate stance to each individual and each group alike. I respect and prioritise the uniqueness of each situation.
