Workshop

Description

This interactive session blends mindfulness, creativity, and self-compassion to support stress reduction, focus, and emotional wellbeing in the workplace. Participants are guided through grounding practices and expressive art-based exercises designed to enhance clarity, calm, and connection — both to themselves and to others. No artistic experience is needed; the emphasis is on reflection and process rather than artistic skill.

Structure of the Session:

  1. Mindful Arrival (10–15 minutes)

    • Gentle breathing and grounding practice to help participants transition from “doing mode” to “being mode.”

    • Brief introduction to mindfulness and its relevance to creativity and performance.

  2. Creative Exploration (30–45 minutes)

    • Attendees are invited to engage in a guided art activity focused on themes such as balance, resilience, or self-kindness at work.

    • Through color, shape, and imagery, participants reflect on their inner experience, work-related stressors, and strengths.

    • The process encourages self-expression, focus, and innovative thinking.

  3. Integration & Reflection (15–20 minutes)

    • Optional sharing circle or pair discussion to build team connection and empathy.

    • Closing mindfulness or visualization practice to integrate insights and promote a sense of calm and renewal.

Participants Will:

  • Learn practical mindfulness tools to manage stress and enhance focus.

  • Reconnect with creativity as a resource for innovation and wellbeing.

  • Gain awareness of emotional patterns and self-compassion strategies for sustainable productivity.

  • Experience improved presence, engagement, and interpersonal connection within teams.

Duration: 60–90 minutes (flexible depending on group size)
Format: In-person or virtual
Group Size: Ideal for 8–20 participants
Materials: Basic art materials provided for in-person sessions or sent in advance for virtual sessions.

About the Host

I am a licensed therapist based in California with a background in both creative and mindfulness-based approaches to emotional wellbeing. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that every person has the capacity to grow and heal when given space to explore their inner world. Over the years, I’ve facilitated groups and individual sessions that integrate art-making, mindfulness, and self-compassion practices to support people in connecting more deeply with themselves. I bring warmth, presence, and creativity to my work, creating environments where participants feel safe to express themselves authentically and explore what it means to live with greater ease and purpose. I’m deeply interested in the intersection between creativity, emotional awareness, and personal transformation. My professional journey has been shaped by both my clinical experience and my own mindfulness and art practice — which continually remind me of the power of slowing down, expressing freely, and listening inward.
