About the Host
I’m Fred Clarke Alvarez, a composer, sound healer, and facilitator from Lima, Peru. I grew up immersed in indigenous cosmologies and ritual ways of relating, which shaped my early understanding of life, psyche, and community. These traditions introduced me to sound, symbolism, and ceremony as living languages long before I encountered psychology. My family lineage carries histories of migration—on my father’s side, from the Bermuda Islands with earlier roots in Liverpool, England—which sparked my lifelong interest in ancestry, identity, and intergenerational patterns.
For over 15 years, I’ve been creating immersive music and sound experiences that help teams and individuals reconnect with presence, focus, and creativity. I specialize in blending natural soundscapes with traditional Andean instruments, including original ancient Nasca pan flutes, which I used to record the acclaimed Sound of Nasca for international museum exhibitions in Lima, Zürich, Bonn, and Madrid. I also composed the film score for Meraya, featuring Shipibo medicine songs. I’ve led workshops and retreats across Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Iceland, and the United States, guiding participants in experiential ways to reduce stress, foster team cohesion, enhance creativity, and cultivate well-being.
