Description
Designed for managers to help them support staff members in the workplace.
It can be very difficult for staff members to know how to handle their disability and / or neurodiversity in the workplace, especially if those disabilities are non-apparent. It can be equally difficult for managers to know how to navigate the space when staff do disclose to them. What is the right way to handle a disclosure? When does support become micro-managing? How do you know what accommodations are reasonable?
This workshop explains some of the concepts that managers might not be familiar with around the disabled and neurodivergent space and uses interactive role play to help them grow their confidence in successfully nurturing disabled talent.

About the Host
Identifying as being neurodivergent and having multiple non-apparent disabilities, I am a strong advocate for disability inclusion as well as accessibility within society. After 11 years working in the tech industry, I refocused my attention and training to start my own company. I now use my knowledge and passion to support the disabled and neurodivergent community with 1:1 coaching. I also strive to further disability awareness with workshops and speaking engagements, building on my previous engagements with Disability:IN, d&i Leaders and my on going role as a PurpleSpace.org Ambassador. Outside of my incredibly rewarding work, I live with my partner and am a cat mama. I am also an avid book collector of first, signed editions.
