About the Host
Alann De Vuyst is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and educator whose work spans more than three decades across continents. Beginning his career as an English teacher, he later taught academic writing at university level, blending language with creative expression. Alongside education, he has exhibited paintings, digital art, and illustrations worldwide, from Europe and Asia to South America. His upcoming children’s book, which he both wrote and illustrated, draws on years of storytelling through images and words.
Alann’s artistic journey is deeply tied to his travels and encounters with indigenous communities in South America and Asia. Living among tribes, documenting oral traditions, and creating videos long before the age of social media, he has explored the intersection of culture, spirituality, and creativity. His work—whether on canvas, in print, or through workshops—aims to connect people, preserve traditions, and inspire new ways of seeing the world.
