Workshop
Description
Humans are not machines, we are living systems. And living systems respond to conditions.
In this interactive 2-hour workshop, participants learn how fermentation works by creating their own ginger culture. Through this biological process, we explore how stress functions in the human nervous system and why both resilience and external factors are essential for sustainable performance.
Topics include:
- How fermentation works
- What chronic stress does to the nervous system
- Personal responsibility vs. external factors in workplace stress
The workshop includes:
- Guided relaxation meditations to experience regulation directly
- Practical reflection exercises
- A hands-on fermentation activity that serves as a metaphor for cultivating resilience
Participants leave with new insight into stress, greater awareness of their own internal conditions, and practical tools for supporting long-term well-being at work.
Benefits
Participants will:
- Recognize early signs of overload in their own system
- Learn simple recovery techniques to regulate stress responses
- Gain clarity about what they can influence — and what requires systemic dialogue
- Develop a more sustainable mindset toward performance and energy management
Teams will:
- Build a shared language around stress and resilience
- Increase awareness of environmental stress factors
- Foster greater understanding of collective responsibility for healthy conditions
- Strengthen long-term resilience and reduce chronic overload patterns
