Description

In this 2-hour session, you'll learn everything you need to be able to hold your first handstand.

We'll start by covering the philosophy behind the handstand practice through the yogic perspective, then dive into the Vinyasa Yoga techniques needed to properly hold the pose.

From there, we warm up the wrists and learn how to keep them healthy for a sustainable practice. We'll develop both straight arm and bent arm strength through scapular push ups and static chaturanga, then explore our first arm balances: crow, crane, and their variations.

One of the most important parts: learning how to safely fall from handstand. Once that's covered, we'll look at how we balance on our feet—and finally, how to transfer that natural balance to our hands.

Benefits

Attendees will build confidence, self-control, strength, body awareness, self-reliance, patience, and attention to detail—all while having fun and connecting to their bodies.
