Workshop
Description
Most workplace wellbeing focuses on reducing stress or avoiding burnout. This session starts from a different premise: not being unwell is not the same as being well. And work can be a place where people actively build a better life—not just endure it.
In this highly interactive experience, participants explore what actually strengthens subjective wellbeing at work, drawing on evidence-based positive psychology interventions. Through guided reflection, small-group discussion, and practical exercises, participants learn how to generate positive emotions at work using humour, savoring, and realistic optimism; how to strengthen relationships through appreciation, gratitude, and “capitalization” (sharing and amplifying good moments); and how kindness and altruism build trust and cooperation within teams.
The session concludes with a light but meaningful Life Crafting exercise, where participants reflect on what “living better” realistically looks like for them—at work and beyond—and identify small, intentional actions they can take toward it.
