Description

Sessions begin with a brief introduction of the topic, then a guided meditation, followed by a short Q&A or discussion.

About the Host

My former MFA studies in sustainable fashion sparked a passion for integrating mindfulness into modern-day life – from our bodies to our minds to our planet. This degree was a tipping point that led to a meaningful career in holistic health, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness.

While living in New York I received a certificate from Institute for Integrative Nutrition's Holistic Health Coach Training Program (approved by NBHWC) in 2013. During my time at Integrative Nutrition, I completed my first of what would be several yoga teacher training programs in December 2011. I have continued to self-study Ayurveda and holistic health – from nutrition and food policy, to yoga and meditation, to general physical and mental health.

Since 2012-13, I have had the honor of working with clients as a certified Holistic Health Coach, teaching yoga and meditation (English / French) to adults and some children, and writing about these and other related topics.

I completed an intensive Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program led by psychologists Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in 2021, certifying me as an Insight Meditation teacher. It included topics such as sustaining the wellbeing of our minds, communities – from social to racial justice – and the environment.

My experience as an entrepreneur in the wellness industry has involved coaching clients virtually, teaching in-person group and private classes, consulting for and collaborating with corporations via mindfulness or movement sessions and holistic wellness workshops, hosting events in partnership with like minded companies and brands, organizing and hosting retreats, teaching for large-scale events, and writing about these topics.

My skills and knowledge from Health Coaching, Mindfulness Coaching, and Yoga bridges the gap between our minds, our bodies, and our planet – from our lifestyle habits and choices to our mindset and conditioning. The integration and cultivation of these interconnected relationships have been incredibly transformative in my own life, and I have since over the years sought to offer this type of support and similar tools to my clients.

Client Requirements

If the session is for yoga, the client must be able to provide yoga mats and clear space without too much external distraction for enough mats to fit (other props like blocks are not necessary, but a bonus). For chair yoga, all clients must have similar chairs. Meditation sessions can be conducted in chairs or on the floor if props are provided for sitting (i.e. yoga blocks, folded blankets, cushions (a speaker would also be nice for ambient music, but not necessary). For large groups, a hands-free microphone and speaker is useful. For holistic health sessions, a projector is helpful. If the session is virtual, client must have adequate internet connection and a dedicated space with minimal distractions.
