Workshop
Description
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally recognized program that trains participants in how to safely intervene when someone is experiencing early, worsening, or crisis signs and symptoms of a mental health issue. This course is evidence-based and uses fidelity standards. While the total training time does not change, this course can be split into multiple sessions. This course can be facilitated both in person and virtually.
Benefits
Participants who complete this class will receive a Mental Health First Aid certification that is valid for three years. Additionally, participants will learn how to be more aware of the signs and symptoms related to a variety of mental health conditions, as well as be introduced to an action plan (ALGEE) to support safe interventions as needed. Participants develop increased confidence and skills related to discussing mental health and encouraging preventative and intervention strategies.

About the Host
I am equal parts artist and coach, and believe in every person’s power and ability to change their lives. While some may see these as separate practices, I believe that each complements the other as both are founded on the same principles of balance and movement. With over 15 years of experience as an artist and over 10 years of experience as a coach, I believe these are essential for a person to create something beautiful – whether that is an abstract expressionist painting, or an ideal (and well-lived) life. That is why I practice in the liminal space between creator, connector, and learner, where I support individuals and teams in creating and succeeding in holistic goals so they can reach their potential as leaders in their own lives.
