Description

Through GIM (Guided Imagery and Music) I provide meditative sessions where one can tap into the power of music to deepen consciousness, connect to the inner self and illuminate or resolve current life issues. Attendees will explore their innate healing capacity stimulated by the person's willingness to open to inspired musical pieces which provide a creative projective screen for the connecting of many levels of mind, body, and spirit.

The session is divided into three parts. The pre-session opens the floor to the sharing of the participants' current state of both mind and body. An intention is chosen by the guide based either on the mutual energy of the participants or on a premeditated exploratory concept. The intention can be to ground ourselves, to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance  creativity, help with life transitions, problem-solving, connect with a personal archetype (Ex. the Warrior, the Creator, the Ruler within us), among others.

The mid-section, the meditation starts with a relaxation induction for the participants to absorb the music as openly as possible. The music will be projected by the subconscious into the canvas of the mind and explore images, sensations, emotions, all important for further contemplation and analysis.

In the post-session, it is significant for the participants to reflect on what stood out the most during the meditation, what seemed important, what emanated the most energy. For this, the participants can draw a short Mandala image or journal a few sentences. The point is to manifest something from within, from subconsciousness into consciousness, to pull from our own inner resources and use them for self-development. The guide then asks volunteers to share their drawing, or what they wrote, or simply express what the experience was like and what impacted them the most. The session ends and the participants take their work home as a reminder of just how powerful the human condition is and the panoply of wellness resources already held within them.

About the Host

With more than 25 years of musical study, be that in performance, academics, philosophy, psychology, creativity, imagery meditation and overall wellbeing, I strive to explore human potential through the phenomenon that is music. Through GIM (Guided Imagery and Music) I provide meditative sessions where one can tap into the power of music to deepen consciousness, connect to the inner self and illuminate or resolve current life issues. Through classical guitar instruction, students not only learn to perform classical pieces from the Renaissance to the contemporary, but benefit from improvement in confidence, memory, coordination, relaxation and extensive motor control. Through classical guitar performances, clients can sit back, relax, and let their imagination fly to one of the most beautiful sounding instruments. Classical guitar music enthralls the senses, engages the emotions and captivates the intellect through moving and sophisticated performances leaving audiences asking for more.
