Workshop

Description

This full-day workshop allows participants to go deeper into presentation skills while building confidence through practice. The day begins with breath work and vocal warm-ups before introducing Polly’s presentation toolkit. Through a mix of group sessions and small-group or individual coaching, participants explore body language, voice projection, storytelling and managing nerves. By the end of the day, they will have designed and delivered a short presentation in a supportive environment.

Benefits

Participants leave with a complete toolkit for confident presenting, backed up by practical rehearsal and feedback. They gain the ability to engage audiences more effectively, manage anxiety in high-pressure moments, and bring clarity and impact to their communication. The full-day format ensures deeper learning and real behavioural change.

Hosted by Polly May

About the Host

Polly May is a professional singer, educator and accredited coach with over 25 years’ experience on stage and in the classroom. She has performed as a soloist at the BBC Proms, recorded on more than 100 film soundtracks, and sung backing vocals for major artists, alongside a 16-year career as a Director of Music in schools. Drawing on this unique blend of performance expertise and coaching training (ICF member), Polly specialises in helping people build confidence, resilience and connection — whether through presentation skills, team singing, or wellbeing workshops. Her sessions are dynamic, supportive and highly practical, leaving participants with tools they can use immediately in both work and life.

Client Requirements

If it was a longer singing workshop, I would bring a gig piano and need a plug for that. I wouldn't need a microphone. For other workshops I would like to display a powerpoint but happy not to if that's a problem.
