Workshop

Description

In this high-energy masterclass, Polly distils 25 years of stage and teaching experience into a practical toolkit for confident communication. Participants will explore voice, posture, and body language, alongside simple breathing and vocal techniques used by professional performers. The session also covers strategies for managing nerves and speaking with authenticity, leaving everyone with tools they can apply immediately.

Benefits

Participants leave with increased confidence in their ability to speak in front of others, whether in meetings, presentations or interviews. They gain quick, practical techniques for handling nerves, projecting their voice, and using their body language effectively. The session is energising, interactive, and equips teams with skills that build both individual presence and collective impact.

Hosted by Polly May

About the Host

Polly May is a professional singer, educator and accredited coach with over 25 years’ experience on stage and in the classroom. She has performed as a soloist at the BBC Proms, recorded on more than 100 film soundtracks, and sung backing vocals for major artists, alongside a 16-year career as a Director of Music in schools. Drawing on this unique blend of performance expertise and coaching training (ICF member), Polly specialises in helping people build confidence, resilience and connection — whether through presentation skills, team singing, or wellbeing workshops. Her sessions are dynamic, supportive and highly practical, leaving participants with tools they can use immediately in both work and life.

Client Requirements

If it was a longer singing workshop, I would bring a gig piano and need a plug for that. I wouldn't need a microphone. For other workshops I would like to display a powerpoint but happy not to if that's a problem.
