Workshop

Description

This practical and experiential workshop supports participants to speak with greater confidence, clarity, and impact by addressing both delivery and the fear that often undermines it.

Rather than treating nerves as something to overcome or suppress, the session explores how fear shows up in the body and mind, and how it can be worked with skilfully using NLP-based tools and embodied awareness. Participants are guided to recognise internal patterns that fuel anxiety around speaking, and to gently interrupt or reframe them in ways that support presence and self-trust.

Alongside this inner work, the session covers key elements of effective delivery: structure, pacing, tone, and connection, helping participants understand what makes communication compelling beyond words alone. The emphasis throughout is on presence over performance, and authenticity over polish.

The workshop is highly adaptable and suitable for presentations, meetings, leadership communication, or any context where people are required to speak and be seen.

Benefits

  • Reduced fear and anxiety around speaking and being seen
  • Greater confidence and ease when presenting or contributing
  • Practical NLP tools for working with unhelpful thought patterns
  • Improved delivery through presence, pacing, and clarity
  • Stronger connection with listeners and increased impact

About the Host

I’m a facilitator, writer, and workshop leader specialising in voice, presence, and inner freedom. My work sits at the intersection of communication, wellbeing, and embodied self-expression, supporting individuals and groups to feel more grounded, confident, and at ease in how they show up and speak.

A core thread in my work is language is how the words we use, internally and externally, can either create tension and self-doubt or open us into clarity, choice, and confidence. Through simple, experiential practices, I help participants notice unhelpful patterns and access more supportive ways of relating to themselves and others.

I also bring extensive experience in public speaking and authentic expression, with a particular focus on working skilfully with nerves and fear. Rather than pushing through anxiety or striving for performance, my sessions invite presence, embodiment, and self-trust, allowing people to communicate with greater impact and authenticity.

My facilitation style is warm, human, and grounded, creating spaces that feel safe, engaging, and thoughtfully held. Sessions are always adapted to the context and group, and can range from reflective and calming to energising and interactive.

I work with professionals, creatives, and teams, and am comfortable facilitating both intimate groups and larger settings. Alongside my facilitation work, I host The Art of Expression podcast and write on voice, presence, and the inner work of expression.
