Description
In a culture that prizes busyness, rest has become a radical act. Rest is a largely untapped source of resilience, creativity, and innovative ideas. This session guides participants through a gentle yet powerful sequence of somatic movement, breathwork, and yoga nidra (guided deep rest), followed by facilitated reflection on what rest means in the context of their work and lives. No experience or flexibility required. Suitable for senior leaders and frontline teams alike, and particularly powerful for teams navigating high pressure, change, or burnout. Ideally, there is space and yoga mats for people to lay down on, but this can also be done seated, if needed. Microphone needed for large groups and spaces.
Benefits
- Nervous system regulation: participants experience physical and mental restoration, leaving measurably calmer and more grounded.
- Improved focus and mental clarity: a reset of the stress response brings participants from 'fight/flight/freeze' into 'rest and digest', creating conditions for sharper thinking and better decision-making.
- Practical tools to take away: participants leave with two or three simple breathing and somatic practices practices they can integrate into their daily rhythm immediately. Option to share the recording of the guided yoga nidra post-session.
- Team connection: sharing this embodied experience together builds trust and psychological safety between colleagues, cultivating a field of coherence between them.
- Reframed relationship with rest: participants leave understanding rest as a strategic resource and tool to enhance their performance.
