Still Life Painting Workshop (90 Minutes)
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
2. Guided Outline using prompts (30 minutes)
3. Application of Colour - Guided (50 minutes)
4. Summary and Feedback (5 minutes)
Introduction
Attendees will be given a brief introduction to how the workshop will work and what a still life is. The aim of the workshop will be to experiment with drawing and painting on a canvas and to enjoy being creative.
Guided Outline
Attendees can choose which objects they want to include in their artwork, depending on skill and experience level.
All stages of this session will be guided and attendees will be given support and feedback whenever needed. Attendees will be provided with outlines of the objects that they can use to support in the outline drawing stage.
Application of Colour
Attendees will use acrylic paints which are a fast-drying medium. The application of colour for each of the objects will also be demonstrated and support will be given. The aim is to create a bright artwork with expressive brushstrokes to give attendees a basic understanding of Still Life painting. If attendees have more experience, then this is an opportunity to enjoy creating and to connect with other members of the workshop.
Summary and Feedback

About the Host
I am an artist and qualified art teacher with experience range of art practices and mediums. I have lived in the UK, Sweden and now Barcelona. My own art practice is currently influenced by nature, as I am working on a series inspired by the Scottish Highlands, where I have spent a lot of time. I also use oil paints to create realistic portraits of family and friends. My latest medium is ceramics and have learned many Japanese hand-working techniques and methods. As an art teacher, I love playing with colour and love bright, colourful artwork with expressive brushstrokes. My teaching approach is supportive and friendly and for all levels of experience. I aim to make art enjoyable to all of the participants who attend the workshops as I believe creating can be a calming and bonding experience.
Client Requirements
I would need tables/chairs for all participants and an extra table to set up materials. I would also need access to a sink to wash brushes and access water for ceramics and painting workshop. Felting workshop would just need tables / chairs.
