Description

In Story as Soulwork, Patrick Dunn invites participants into a captivating storytelling experience that blends spoken word, photography, soundscape, and reflection. This immersive session explores how story serves as a bridge between culture, creativity, and leadership — how the places we come from and the experiences we share shape who we are and how we lead.

The session opens with a series of short narrative vignettes drawn from Patrick’s global journeys — from the stillness of Muir Woods to the vibrant markets of Puglia and the quiet chapels of Portugal. Each story carries a theme of belonging, courage, and cultural wisdom, designed to awaken reflection and imagination. Throughout the performance, projected imagery and soft instrumental music create a meditative atmosphere that engages both emotion and insight.

Between stories, Patrick guides attendees through brief journaling and paired reflection moments, encouraging them to translate inspiration into personal meaning. Participants are then invited to contribute to a collective “Leadership Mantra Mosaic” — a shared creative ritual in which each person writes a single word or phrase capturing how they wish to “lead with soul.” This becomes a living art piece representing the collective voice of the group.

By the end of the session, participants leave not just inspired but grounded — carrying their own reflective mantra and a renewed sense of connection to story, culture, and purpose.

Benefits

  • Reignite creativity and imagination as vital sources of leadership inspiration.

  • Experience the power of storytelling to foster empathy, reflection, and cross-cultural connection.

  • Develop personal insight by linking story themes to their own values and life path.

  • Create a personal leadership mantra to carry forward as a touchstone for growth.

  • Feel renewed, grounded, and connected — both to self and to the shared human narrative.

About the Host

Patrick Dunn is a purpose-driven speaker, leadership guide, and founder of Paxaterra Global, an initiative that inspires leaders and changemakers to align purpose with presence, and leadership with soul. A lifelong storyteller and advocate for peace through community, Patrick blends over two decades of experience in leadership, organizational development, and regenerative travel with a deep understanding of human connection and cultural wisdom. Patrick’s signature framework — Lead with Soul — invites participants to rediscover leadership as a conscious, creative, and compassionate practice. His work bridges reflection and action, inviting leaders to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect to what truly matters. Through his keynotes, workshops, and retreats, he helps organizations and individuals cultivate clarity, alignment, and authenticity — guiding them to lead not just from strategy, but from story, stillness, and soul. A dynamic storyteller and experiential facilitator, Patrick draws from his travels across national parks, cultural landscapes, and peacebuilding communities worldwide. His sessions are part poetry, part practice — weaving sensory storytelling, leadership science, and mindful reflection into immersive, transformative experiences. He believes that leadership is an act of stewardship: of people, place, and the planet. Patrick is a Rotary leader and District 5190 Peace Chair, where he helps convene cross-cultural projects and community events that advance peace and sustainability. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Club Climate Europe, expanding his advocacy for global cooperation around environmental and social regeneration. An honors graduate of the University of Maine with a degree in Recreation and Park Management, Patrick’s career has spanned youth leadership programs, organizational culture consulting, and purpose-based retreats. His approach is grounded in the conviction that when we lead with soul, we create workplaces — and a world — that are more creative, compassionate, and whole. When he’s not on stage or facilitating a retreat, Patrick can be found exploring coastal trails or mountain parks with his partner Lori, camera in hand and journal nearby. He is also a certified sommelier and lifelong foodie who finds inspiration in the way food, culture, and community bring people together. Patrick’s 2025–2026 offerings include the Lead with Soul Workshop Series, the Lead with Soul Journal, and a forthcoming book and companion workbook exploring the art of soulful leadership.
