Description
Are your leaders struggling to make critical decisions in uncertain environments? Do reactive patterns emerge when your team faces rapid change, conflicting priorities, or organizational restructuring? When complexity increases, does your leadership effectiveness decline?
This introductory workshop draws on validated research from The Leadership Circle, based on data from over 200,000 leaders globally, to help participants recognize two fundamental leadership orientations: Creative Competencies enable leaders to navigate complexity with authenticity, courage, systems awareness, and ease. Reactive Tendencies unconsciously limit effectiveness and create organizational drag.
Through guided self-reflection and experiential learning, participants gain awareness of their leadership patterns and discover how shifting from reactive to creative responses transforms their effectiveness.
Interactive Leadership Mapping
Using The Leadership Circle's 29 validated competencies and reactive tendencies, participants engage in real-time mapping of their leadership patterns through a kinesthetic floor exercise. This multi-sensory approach creates embodied understanding that goes beyond intellectual awareness.
In this 60-90 minute introductory session, you will:
Gain initial awareness of how leadership development improves relating to complexity
Begin to recognize the difference between creative and reactive responses in your own leadership
Explore authentic relating techniques for building trust in uncertainty
Discover potential blind spots that may be impacting your team and organizational results
Start cultivating mindful self-awareness to stay centered and responsive in uncertainty
Provides a foundation for understanding your leadership patterns and identifying opportunities for deeper development work.

About the Host
I work with senior leaders, coaches, supervisors, and teams to deepen their reflective capacity, unlock hidden strengths, and surface unconscious patterns, by embracing presence, the courage to pause, the wisdom of not knowing, and leading from what matters most. Together, we create workplaces where leadership emerges at every level, and people tap into their innate wisdom and creativity in service of something greater than individual achievement. This approach enables exceptional business outcomes while creating the conditions for truly transformational coaching and supervision that benefit both individuals and the wider system.
I am an accredited coaching supervisor and Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), bringing over two decades of contemplative and professional experience into my practice. My diverse background spans technical support management, a degree in artificial intelligence, and 15 years as a Buddhist monk. This rare combination of disciplines gives me a unique lens on leadership, transformation, and systemic change.
Drawing on my deep understanding of solitude, uncertainty, and the power of reflection, I support leaders in aligning their work with their life’s true purpose, enhancing their effectiveness as global stewards and evolving leadership culture in organizations and society. Through the PlayfulMonk approach, which I developed, I help individuals and teams build their capacity for self-reflection, manage personal and group tensions, develop ethical awareness, and stay calm and connected in complex, high-pressure environments.
Currently, I serve as the part-time Head of Faculty and Leadership at Blend Associates, where I support senior executives and teams within the UK’s National Health Service to navigate the emotional and systemic challenges of leadership in times of change and stress. With compassion, clarity, and courage, I walk alongside those who lead to help them live and lead from presence, purpose, and possibility.
