Description
Focus: Joint Decompression & Postural Correction Equipment: Minimal (Mat or even just a chair/standing space)
The 20-Minute Alignment Reset is a precision-engineered "antidote" to the physical strains of the modern workspace. Rather than a generic workout, this session acts as a mechanical tune-up for the human body.
Participants are guided through a rhythmic flow of Mobilisation, Decompression, and Activation. We start by "unsticking" the upper thoracic spine and neck—areas that freeze during hours of typing. We then move into deep hip-opening sequences to release the tension built up from prolonged sitting.
Using a background of low-fidelity, rhythmic beats to encourage a "flow state," the session transitions from stretching into light muscle activation. We "wake up" the glutes and mid-back—the muscles that naturally switch off when we slouch—to ensure participants leave not just relaxed, but physically supported. The experience concludes with a focused breathwork "reset" to clear mental fatigue and recalibrate the nervous system for the rest of the workday.
What is offered:
-
Targeted "Anti-Desk" Sequence: A curated flow of movements focusing on the neck, shoulders, hip flexors, and lower back.
-
Educational Cueing: Brief, clear explanations of why we are moving specific joints to build long-term postural awareness.
-
Rhythmic Breathing: Integration of "Box Breathing" techniques to lower cortisol levels instantly.
-
No-Sweat Design: Movements are calibrated so participants can join in comfortable office wear or gym gear without needing a shower afterward. (Dependant on person)
-
Sonic Environment: A curated lo-fi playlist designed to lower heart rate and improve mental focus.
Benefits
Key Benefits
-
Reverses "Tech-Neck": Directly counteracts the forward-head posture caused by screens, reducing the frequency of tension headaches.
-
Immediate Stress Reduction: By targeting the psoas (the body's primary "fight or flight" muscle), we signal the nervous system to shift from high-stress to calm-productivity.
-
Enhanced Spinal Health: Mobilising the vertebrae increases the flow of synovial fluid, keeping the spine "lubricated" and resilient against long-term injury.
-
Boosted Cognitive Function: Opening the chest and improving posture increases lung capacity, delivering more oxygen to the brain to combat the "3 PM slump."
-
Physical Autonomy: Participants walk away with a "toolkit" of 2-3 key micro-movements they can perform at their desks to maintain well-being throughout the week.

About the Host
To design and deliver exceptional sessions, I lean on the creative and operational skills I developed as the founder of **Fitness Finetic**. Much like the recipe R&D and product innovation I led for my health-food and sportswear brands , I approach class programming with a focus on meticulous preparation. This allows me to build structured fitness and yoga sessions that are adaptable, ensuring that whether someone is a beginner or an advanced practitioner, the movements are accessible and the progression is logical for their specific background.
In the studio, I bring a high-energy presence and a "consultative" approach to coaching that I’ve refined over 13 years. This means I don't just lead a class; I engage with the individuals in it, tailoring my guidance to meet a diverse group of people where they are. By focusing on stakeholder engagement and "consumer" experience, I create a welcoming environment where a genuine community can grow, ensuring every member feels supported and challenged in every session.
