Workshop

Description

This masterclass is a practical and immersive experience in public speaking, designed to help participants move beyond technique and develop a powerful, authentic voice. It is open to anyone who wants to communicate with clarity, confidence, and emotional impact—whether for professional, creative, or personal purposes. The session is based on the understanding that modern public speaking is not only about correct pronunciation or confidence, but about storytelling, connection, and presence. Participants are guided to shift from simply “speaking well” to being truly heard, remembered, and felt by their audience.

Benefits

1. Finding Your Voice & Message

Participants begin by developing a short 30–60 second speech. They choose one of three directions:

  • A personal introduction

  • A brand or professional story

  • A current challenge expressed through a powerful statement

This exercise helps clarify what they want to say and why it matters.

2. Presence & Performance (On-Stage Practice)

Participants step into a performance setting, delivering their speech in a focused, supportive environment.
They work on:

  • Strong openings that capture attention

  • Clear and concise messaging

  • Physical presence and voice projection

  • Confidence in front of an audience

3. Acting Tools for Public Speaking

Drawing from psychological theatre techniques, participants explore three key elements:

  • Attention – learning how to focus and guide the audience’s attention

  • Imagination – stepping into the audience’s perspective and thinking creatively

  • Action – using physical and vocal intention to communicate effectively

These tools transform speaking into a dynamic and engaging experience.

4. Storytelling Techniques

Participants are introduced to powerful storytelling frameworks used in theatre, film, and leadership communication, including:

  • The Hero’s Journey (challenge → transformation → return)

  • The Heroine’s Journey (inner transformation and integration)

  • The Three-Act Structure (beginning → turning point → resolution)

They then rewrite and refine their speech using one of these structures to create clarity, emotional impact, and narrative flow.

5. Audience Awareness & Connection

A key focus of the workshop is understanding the audience. Participants explore how to:

  • Adapt their message to different listeners

  • Build emotional connection

  • Speak to someone, not just in front of people

They learn that the listener is as important as the speaker in shaping the communication experience.

6. Reflection & Personal Insight

Participants are introduced to a reflective exercise (“The Mirror of Your Audience”), encouraging deeper awareness of how they are perceived by others and how this influences their communication style.

What Participants Will Experience:

  • Guided speech writing and performance exercises

  • Individual and group work in a supportive environment

  • Practical tools from acting and storytelling

  • Real-time feedback and self-discovery

Outcomes:

By the end of the masterclass, participants will:

  • Speak with greater clarity, confidence, and authenticity

  • Structure their message using storytelling techniques

  • Connect emotionally with their audience

  • Feel more comfortable and expressive when speaking in public

About the Host

I am Elena Lander, an international actress, director, and TV presenter, born in Moscow and trained in the traditions of the Russian school of psychological theatre. Throughout my career, I have portrayed over 30 roles in four languages, working across Russia, Israel, and Europe. My artistic path has led me to work across stage and film, directing projects such as the short film Doppia Sfida, where I explore the balance between emotional depth and artistic precision. I hold a degree in Creative Production from NABA, which has strengthened my ability to develop and lead creative projects with both vision and structure. My work bridges theatre, body awareness, and storytelling, allowing me to guide others with both a director’s perspective and a performer’s sensitivity. Alongside my artistic work, I support professional actors in building and advancing their careers, helping them refine their craft and presence. I also work with non-professionals, creating a safe and inspiring space where they can feel more relaxed, confident, and expressive on stage
