Description
This session focuses on the gap that often exists between declared values and actual behaviors — both at an individual and organizational level. Main focus:
-
Exploring common value-behavior misalignments in teams and organizations
-
Understanding the emotional and contextual reasons behind incoherent behavior
-
Aligning personal values with organizational values
-
Translating values into decision-making, communication and boundaries
Why do values such as integrity, courage, accountability or respect lose impact when they are not translated into clear, observable behaviors.
The session brings clarity to what it really means to “live a value” in daily professional decisions, interactions and priorities.
The emphasis is on coherence, responsibility and consistency, helping individuals and teams move from abstract concepts to practical alignment.
We often say we have values — but they are not visible in daily actions.
There is a gap between what individuals and organizations claim to value and how people actually behave in everyday situations.
-
Lack of behavioral coherence behind declared values
-
A culture that is stated but not lived
-
Inconsistencies between intentions, decisions and actions
-
Situations where people “say one thing and do another”
-
The absence of clear cultural alignment in day-to-day work
20-Minute Session Format (Practical Experience)
1. Choosing a core value
Each participant selects one core value that is important to them in their professional life (e.g. integrity, courage, responsibility, respect, excellence).
2. Defining aligned behaviors
Participants identify:
-
3–5 concrete behaviors that clearly demonstrate this value in action
(What someone would see, hear or experience when this value is being lived)
3. Identifying misaligned behaviors
Participants identify:
-
3–5 behaviors to reduce, avoid or eliminate because they contradict the chosen value
4. Personal reflection

About the Host
My work bridges business reality and human development, combining executive experience with practical mentoring, coaching and facilitation. I support individuals, teams and entrepreneurs in navigating change, decision-making, responsibility, emotional regulation and sustainable performance, always aligned with their values and real-life priorities.
With 11 years as an executive in a multinational financial environment and over a decade mentoring entrepreneurs and coaching professionals, I bring together corporate experience and hands-on facilitation to support sustainable change, better decision-making and aligned ways of working and living.
I believe that sustainable results — personal or professional — come from developing the human being behind the role. My approach is practical, reflective and human-centred, focused on autonomy, self-leadership and conscious choices rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
My work focuses on helping people understand themselves better — their values, priorities, talents and challenges — so they can make decisions and build paths that are sustainable over time, not just successful on paper. I don’t provide answers; I facilitate reflection, clarity and practical integration.
I am also deeply committed to social impact, having worked in volunteer programs supporting people in unemployment, career transition and, currently, within the prison system, focusing on autonomy, emotional regulation and personal responsibility.
A significant part of my work over the last 2 years also focused on female leadership and women’s health, informed by my own experience and dedicated study of female cyclicality. I collaborate with health professionals, that I partner with throughtout my ecommerce business and work with women and leaders on understanding how to align energy, productivity and decision-making with natural cycles — both professionally and personally — to create more sustainable ways of working and living.
I have lived and worked in Portugal, the UK and Angola, and delivered talks and workshops in Portugal, Spain and the UK.
I am passionate about dogs, playing the piano and social dance.
