About the Host

A New Zealand-born contralto, music educator, and digital creator based in Paris. With a Master of Music in Classical Voice and a rich background in opera and concert performance, she made her professional debut with New Zealand Opera in 2016. Since moving to Europe, she has built a multifaceted freelance career, performing across the continent and specialising in recitals, private events, and contemporary concert works. Also a dedicated educator, Kayla runs a private studio and leads innovative workshops through her project Sound Garden: Classical Music Immersion. Her growing skills in design support her mission to make classical music more engaging and accessible.

Travel Locations

Elsewhere in France/Europe. Additional costs will depend on transport options (I do not drive), accommodation, and trip duration, and on whether a pianist is required for performances.

Client Requirements

Voice/Stagecraft for Wellbeing: A clear space where people can move about. Potentially access to a speaker for music. Classical music performance: A good quality, recently tuned piano - ideally acoustic, but electric is possible. Suitability of piano to be verified with pianist. Enough lighting for the performers to be able to see their music scores. Appropriate seating for audience. A suitable room for the performers to change/prepare/leave personal belongings.
