Description

When we were children, we were always creating. We kept diaries, we were asked to write compositions in school, and we loved to draw and build things. As we grow older, we create less and less, especially when it comes to free writing. When was the last time you wrote something just for yourself?

Writing is an important tool for emotional expression and self-knowledge. It is also a therapeutic instrument for healing. When we write, we are able to organize our thoughts in a unique and crystalline way. There are things I only discovered by writing them down, but for that to happen, I first needed someone to ask me the right questions. I used my experience and my learnings to craft this workshop for you.

Benefits

This workshop is a dynamic meditation, because we’ll be looking inward while staying in motion: mentally. We will think more clearly, because writing can be deeply rewarding and liberating. You don’t need to be good at writing, and you don’t need to show anyone what you’ve written. What matters is what the process brings out. And I hope you leave feeling a little lighter and a little more enlightened. All you need is a pen and some paper. Bring colours if that makes you happy.

The workshop is 90 minutes time and we are going to travel into our conscience, our past and our present in order to have a better future.

About the Host

I was born in Guimarães, Portugal, 41 years ago. I hold a degree in Media Studies and a master’s in Cinema Studies. Writing has always been my greatest dream and ambition, and last year I completed my first novel. For nearly twenty years, I’ve written for newspapers and blogs, and for the past decade, I’ve also dedicated myself to yoga. Through these experiences, I’ve come to realize that writing is a powerful therapeutic tool. There are insights I’ve only discovered by putting them into words. After studying with the best, came my first workshop: Write to Think and Get to Know Yourself Better. I am a mother of a three year old, a really transformative experience, and I have two cats.
