Workshop
Description
This workshop is designed to bring teams together through the transformative power of creativity. Rooted in my professional background as an artist, designer, and cultural facilitator, the session blends hands-on artistic practice with reflective dialogue to help teams unlock new ways of working together.
The workshop begins with a Colour Mapping Exercise, where participants use a curated set of colour cards and visual symbols to express how they perceive their workplace culture, current challenges, and team identity. This activity allows individuals to share perspectives that are often hard to articulate in words, creating an open space for dialogue and understanding.
Next, teams engage in a Collaborative Design Challenge. Using large-format paper, markers, and colour palettes, each small group co-creates a visual artwork that represents their collective vision. The exercise is structured so that every participant contributes equally, highlighting the importance of balance, inclusivity, and shared responsibility.
The session concludes with a Guided Reflection & Dialogue. Here, I facilitate discussion around what the creative process revealed: How did people collaborate? What challenges arose? What strategies emerged? We then connect these insights back to the workplace — exploring how creativity, flexibility, and empathy can strengthen communication and team performance.
This is not an art class in the traditional sense. Rather, it is a structured, playful, and thought-provoking experience that uses colour and creativity as tools to strengthen collaboration and wellbeing in professional environments. All materials are provided, and no prior artistic experience is required.

About the Host
I am Leyla Salm — an artist, designer, curator, and cultural entrepreneur with a passion for making art and heritage accessible to diverse audiences. My multidisciplinary practice draws deeply from Art Nouveau, Symbolism, and Art Deco, weaving historic influences into contemporary works and experiences. As founder and curator of The Bohemian Emporium by LEYLA SALM, I create exhibitions that blend art, antiques, and design, revealing the timeless connections between past and present cultural narratives. Alongside this, I produce functional art and interior pieces that reimagine found and historic materials into new forms of beauty. Beyond my creative practice, I have led workshops, community-based projects, and educational programmes, fostering participation and dialogue across different groups. I also collaborate with architects and designers, integrating art and design into human-centred interiors and workplace environments. With over 130,000 followers on social media, I actively engage audiences worldwide, building visibility and encouraging dialogue around art, heritage, and design. Equally at ease in creative and organisational roles, I bring experience in project management, curatorial work, and advisory functions — always balancing artistic vision with practical needs.
