Description
Decision Dynamics is a fast, interactive and highly practical group experience that helps teams understand how they make decisions - and how to make them better. Through guided scenarios, structured prompts and facilitated dialogue, participants quickly uncover patterns, assumptions and bottlenecks that shape decision-making in their team.
This is an active, hands-on session designed to create clarity, confidence and shared ownership in a short period of time.
In this session, participants will be guided through:
1. A short diagnostic on current decision habits
-
Quick, light-touch exercise to identify how decisions actually happen in the team
-
Participants surface hidden assumptions, frustrations and unclear roles
2. Interactive decision-making scenarios
Small groups work through short, realistic decision challenges (customisable to team context):
-
Prioritisation under pressure
-
Ambiguous responsibility
-
Conflicting perspectives
-
‘Too many cooks’ slowdowns
-
Decision paralysis
The facilitator then guides a whole-group debrief to reveal patterns.
3. A rapid “roles & clarity” mapping activity
Participants collaboratively map:
-
Who should decide
-
Who should be consulted
-
Who needs to be informed
-
What slows decisions down
-
Where clarity is missing
This is done in a visually engaging, easy-to-grasp format.
4. Creation of a simple Decision Playbook
As a group, participants co-create a short, practical “Decision Playbook” they can begin using immediately, covering:
-
Decision categories
-
Expected behaviours
-
Fast escalation routes
-
Team norms for decision-making
-
Commitments for moving forward
This session is designed for leadership teams, cross-functional groups and any team that struggles with speed, clarity or alignment.

About the Host
I am a strategic facilitator and leadership coach with over 20 years’ experience helping mission-driven organisations gain clarity, strengthen alignment and lead with confidence. My work centres on creating the conditions for teams and leaders to think deeply, connect meaningfully and make decisions that move their organisations forward.
With a background in senior roles at Save the Children UK and mothers2mothers, I’ve worked at the intersection of strategy, culture and partnerships for most of my career. I understand the dynamics of Boards, executive teams and complex stakeholder groups, and I bring this lived experience directly into the room when I facilitate or coach.
Today, I specialise in designing and leading high-impact workshops, strategy sprints and leadership sessions that blend structured thinking with a warm, inclusive facilitation style. I support CEOs, Boards and senior teams on topics such as purpose and impact, decision-making, organisational alignment, change readiness, and partnership strategy. My coaching approach is grounded, practical and reflective—helping leaders build confidence, clarity and their own distinctive voice.
I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, energised and able to express their best thinking. Whether guiding a team through a pivotal strategy conversation or supporting a leader navigating transition, my aim is always the same: to help people move towards greater clarity, connection and impact.
