Description
An art-based experiment in attention, presence & response
A hands-on development session that turns listening into a visual, embodied, and tactile experience. Large rolls of paper are laid out across tables, floors, or walls—adapted to the space available—inviting participants into visual conversations through mark-making, drawing, words and sensory prompts.
The session moves from individual making into collaborative work, as participants respond to and build on each other’s marks. Tactile elements such as texture, tools, and found objects are introduced to shift attention away from control and into sensing and responding. Optional eyes-closed or blindfolded drawing further heightens presence.
After each experience, the group comes together briefly to reflect on what participants noticed.
The session may include working on large-scale paper using materials such as charcoal to create sweeping, physical marks. Comfortable clothing is recommended. All materials are provided, and the space is prepared to support movement and shared making.
Format: facilitated group experience
