Description
Purpose Pulse is a warm, energising and human-centred session designed to help teams reconnect with what motivates them, why their work matters, and how they can support one another to do their best work. This is a guided reflective experience that blends individual insight, paired conversations and collaborative sense-making — ideal for teams experiencing transition, change, pressure or disconnection.
In this session, participants will be guided through:
1. A grounding opener to shift into reflective mode

Short centering exercise to quiet noise and create psychological safety

Simple reflective prompts to help participants reconnect with their internal “why”
2. Guided individual reflection
Participants are led through structured prompts such as:

What aspect of my work gives me energy?
-
What do I want to contribute to the team right now?
-
What do I need to feel at my best?
-
What do I want us to achieve together in the next 3 months?
3. Purpose Pairings
-
Participants share insights in pairs using coached listening techniques
-
Each person reflects back what they heard (strengths, values, aspirations)
-
Builds trust, empathy and human connection across the team
4. Collective Purpose Mapping
The group co-creates a shared “Purpose Board” identifying:

Common themes across the team
-
What motivates the group
-
What they want to contribute collectively
-
What behaviours and habits support their shared purpose
-
What gets in the way — and how to navigate it
5. Creating a Team Purpose Commitment
A short, practical wrap-up where participants:

Identify 1–2 personal commitments

Agree on 2–3 team commitments that support purpose and wellbeing

Clarify how they’ll hold each other accountable

About the Host
I am a strategic facilitator and leadership coach with over 20 years’ experience helping mission-driven organisations gain clarity, strengthen alignment and lead with confidence. My work centres on creating the conditions for teams and leaders to think deeply, connect meaningfully and make decisions that move their organisations forward.
With a background in senior roles at Save the Children UK and mothers2mothers, I’ve worked at the intersection of strategy, culture and partnerships for most of my career. I understand the dynamics of Boards, executive teams and complex stakeholder groups, and I bring this lived experience directly into the room when I facilitate or coach.
Today, I specialise in designing and leading high-impact workshops, strategy sprints and leadership sessions that blend structured thinking with a warm, inclusive facilitation style. I support CEOs, Boards and senior teams on topics such as purpose and impact, decision-making, organisational alignment, change readiness, and partnership strategy. My coaching approach is grounded, practical and reflective—helping leaders build confidence, clarity and their own distinctive voice.
