Workshop

Description

DEFINITION
Co-creation is a form of collaborative creativity, which uses design thinking, tools and process to give participants a voice and joint ownership in a project, issue or opportunity.
A facilitated process, the Solution Café thrives on fantasy, play and creativity. I shall be your facilitator, staging the setting, writing the script, facilitating and recording the process that enables the Solution Café to yield uniquely innovative and tangible outcomes.
METHODOLOGY & PROCESS
A creative process possesses structure. While it may wander, it is a hugely purposeful and intense mission. That intensity of thought and reasoning is maintained alive throughout the Solution Café workshop.
I let the workshop development take place in bursts, broken up by periods of pause, reflection and discussion: Do – Show – React
Furthermore, mymethodology is articulated into the following four distinct and critical moments:
1. Learn: Analyse the collected information to identify patterns and insights,
2. Look: Observe participants to discover what they really are thinking rather than who they say are,
3. Ask: Engage participants to elicit information relevant to the problems to be solved,
4. Try: Create simulations to help empathize with participants and to evaluate proposed ideas.

My process is summarised as follows:
 I work with you to define problems, to design and to deliver the workshop
 I draw on many different types of facilitation, from process to graphical, written and verbal
 My approach is built upon these four key principles:
1. Believe in what you design and own what you build
2. Build answers you never thought possible using group wisdom
3. Make decisions by design, not through inertia
4. Enable creativity

Benefits

BENEFITS
The rate of change, inside and outside organisations, is accelerating with success depending on the speed at which business can adapt and evolve. Increasingly constrained internal resources are challenged to deliver “more for less”, fast and innovatively. Decisions need to be made quickly across entire systems and streams necessitating the engagement of stakeholders across organisations and geographies.
PURPOSE
Make business decisions in hours or days, rather than months or years. I aim to accelerate delivery, drive a culture of innovation and achieve an unprecedented level of alignment via a facilitated problem-solving workshop.
The Solution Café is a brainstorming session that yields tangible outcomes as a result of a brief but intense facilitated workshop.

About the Host

Mindful of the need to navigate the divide between space and behaviour at work I have devised a programme of workplace design and awareness through Psychosocially Supportive Design, The term was coined by Dr.Dilani , Founder and Director of the International Academy for Design and Health (IADH). PSD stimulates and engages people, both mentally and socially, using space to trigger positive behaviour in the environment. This approach, derived from the healthcare sector, is predicated on better engagement of employees through a deeper understanding of their personality profiles by means of co-creation workshops and the Lumina Spark psychometric assessment tool. The outcome of this work takes the form of a PLAYBOOK designed to affect both space and behaviour; it sets out a detailed specification and implementation schedule of aligned spatial and behavioural interventions and specifically includes the following deliverables:
