Workshop
Description
This interactive session introduces the concept of “leader as host,” a leadership style rooted in welcoming others, connecting diverse individuals, and fostering collaboration. Drawing from cultural traditions of hospitality and the documented practice of host leadership, we’ll explore how this metaphor can strategically advance inclusion and operational goals.
Participants will reflect on culturally shaped notions of hosting and hospitality from diverse pan-Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian perspectives and discuss how these ideas can be translated into strategic and ethical leadership.
By reimagining leadership as hosting, participants will leave equipped to build connection and foster collaboration in ways that align with their values and cultural heritage.
Benefits
Through guided discussions and activities, attendees will discover practical strategies to re-imagine their roles as hosts and guests, and to build deeper connection to support collaboration.
