
Anna Kalcheva (b. 1988, Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria) is a multidisciplinary artist, based between Bulgaria and Portugal, working across photography, video, participatory art, and creative recycling. Her practices explore perception, human connection, and the cycles of transformation that link people, materials, and experiences.
Anna began her creative career in 2011 with an art residency in NYC focused on photography and film, and was offered a scholarship at the International Center of Photography in New York. Over the past 15 years, she has developed a body of work spanning professional video production and experimental art projects, blending technical skill with conceptual exploration.
Currently,she is developing Studio Prismannticca, a creative recycling project. where she transforms industrial and natural waste into functional beauty. Her work combines sustainability and visual experimentation, encouraging audiences to engage creatively and reflect on cycles of creation, consumption, and transformation.
