Denise Scicluna is a Malta-born art therapist, clinical supervisor, mindfulness practitioner, creativity guide, author, and abstract painter based in London. With a background in psychology, art psychotherapy, and 15+ years of creative practice, Denise is passionate about the transformative potential of art-making and creative exploration. As both a qualified art therapist and self-taught abstract painter, she supports people in deepening self-awareness, reconnecting with creativity, and nurturing personal growth through safe and reflective spaces. Denise holds a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), and also provides clinical supervision for professionals in the field. Her private practice is offered both online and in person and also runs online programs to help overwhelmed busy working professionals to connect with their creativity as a way of moving forward in life (even if they're never touched a paintbrush before..) Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Jungian and psychodynamic thinking, while also integrating mindfulness-based practices. She believes creativity is innate to all people, and that engaging with art can be a meaningful form of self-care, expression, and emotional connection. Alongside her therapeutic work, Denise enjoys developing creative projects and community initiatives. She is the author of three arts and crafts books, Rock Art, Pebble Pets, and All-New Twenty To Make: Rock Art. She also founded Malta’s first contemporary crafts market, Patches Market.
