Murtaza Retiwala – Voice. Music. Presence. I am Murtaza Retiwala, a singer, songwriter, performer, voice and singing coach, meditation specialist working with tailor-made sounds based on specific frequencies and live vocals using Indian Raagas, and a Corporate Leadership Voice and Wellness Coach. Originally from Mumbai, India, I have been living in Berlin, Germany for the past three years, which I now call home. My work lives at the intersection of art, emotion, and human connection. Based in Berlin and working internationally, I bring over twelve years of professional experience, more than eight hundred live performances, and over three hundred students coached worldwide into everything I do—on stage, in classrooms, and within corporate environments. For me, the voice is not just sound. It is identity, confidence, presence, and emotional truth. My journey with music began early. I started formal training in the fourth grade and remained with one Guru throughout my entire musical education. That long-term mentorship shaped not only my voice, but also my discipline, humility, and depth as a human being. I am trained as an Indian Semi-Classical vocalist alongside Western Pop singing and songwriting. This foundation allows me to move fluidly between structure and freedom, tradition and contemporary expression. Over time, my work expanded naturally beyond performance into teaching, coaching, and voice-based empowerment. As a live performer, I have performed at weddings, corporate events, cultural festivals, and private gatherings across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other parts of Europe. My performances are known for being warm, emotionally resonant, adaptable to diverse audiences, and elegant rather than loud. I curate my sets carefully, especially for European audiences, often focusing on well-loved English Pop, R&B, and global favorites that create connection and ease. Teaching is a core part of who I am. My students describe my approach as different, fun, highly effective, and permanent. I teach singing and vocal technique, voice confidence and expression, early music education for children, and performance mindset and stage presence. I do not believe in forcing the voice; I believe in understanding it. As a voice coach, I work with people, not just singers. Most voice challenges are emotional and psychological rather than technical. My work focuses on releasing tension, discovering the natural voice, and building confidence in communication. Every voice carries a unique story. Alongside this, I work as a meditation and sound specialist, creating live, tailor-made experiences using specific frequencies, breath, and Indian Raaga-based vocals. Sound directly affects the nervous system, emotions, and inner states. These sessions help people calm the mind, release emotional weight, and reconnect with themselves. In essence, I am a one-man ecosystem of voice. To experience my work is to experience clarity, confidence, and connection—through voice.
