I’m a creative consultant, supporting disability diversity where it intersects with arts and culture, climate sustainability and cancer patient advocacy. As a disabled, working-class woman, I prove that lived experience is a powerful tool for systemic change. I’ve held senior management and leadership roles for the majority of my career, enabling me to become a ‘thought leader’ and a confident public speaker. I have skills in governance, and both strategic and business development. I can create comms messages with impact, and I can advocate for disabled people at the highest level with policy makers and politicians. I was publicly recognised with an MBE for my services to music, arts and disabled people in the Queen’s Honours in June 2013 and I have won other awards since.
