Description

Jhana is a profoundly serene and blissful state of meditative concentration that can be attained during extended meditation retreats. In this workshop, participants will be guided through three modes of mindfulness of breathing meditation. These mindfulness techniques can be used as a regular meditation practice at home, as well as a basis for developing jhana during a meditation retreat in the future. The theoretical context will be introduced briefly, followed by hands-on practice of each of the three techniques. The session will also include time for questions and discussion.
