Workshop
Description
This session is designed to shift participants from being passive passersby of their environment to mindful, purposeful participants within a living system. Grounded in the Give Space method, we use the Biophilic Walk to dissolve the perceived separation between the human and the other-than-human world. By doing so, we support individuals and organizations in internalizing and personalizing critical themes - such as sustainability, climate change, and natural capital - integrating them into both better business practices and personal wellbeing.
1.Arrival and Creating a Safe Space
- Centering meditation
- Introduction to the Story of Place - ecological and social knowledge of the site.
2. Biophilic Walk
- Sensory Immersion: A silent, solo walk to amplify receptivity to external world
- Deep Attunement: Observing internal feelings, memories, and thoughts as vital data while grounding through the soles of the feet.
- Shift in Perspective: Changing body posture, eye level, and pace to become aware of layered different worlds existing the same space.
3. Pair Dialog
- Imagine the roots, soil, water systems lying beneath and visualize their relationships to the larger landscape, fostering systemic thinking.
4. Gratitude
- Harvesting: A focused circle to share participants' discoveries. A brief moment of gratitude to ground the experience for integration into daily business and life.
Benefits
- Holistic Resilience: Physical movement and sensory experience in/with nature soothe physical tension and reduce stress, fostering a healthier mind and body.
- Systemic Insight: Shifting perspective from "self" to "habitat" encourages an open mind and facilitates long-term, sustainable thinking.
- Enhanced Awareness: Training both internal and external observation skills - essential competencies for mindful leadership and decision-making.
- Psychological Safety: Boosts team/community well-being and trust by holding a silent, shared space that allows for authentic presence.
- Ecological Literacy: Increases environmental awareness and care through direct biophilic engagement with urban nature, reconnecting participants with natural capital.

About the Host
As an ecological artist and systems thinker, I have dedicated my life to inquiring into the theme of the “Human Animal” — a quest to attain wholeness as a living being in a fragmented world.
With over two decades of meditation practice and a Master’s in Organizational Psychology, I guide individuals and organizations to "Give Space" for what truly wants to emerge. I believe that shift happens when we reconnect with the essence of life — whether in nature, the built environment, our work settings, our relationships, or within our own skin.
By activating our Biophilia (innate connectivity to nature) and ecological narratives, I help shift our organizational and personal cultures beyond the Anthropocenter. My purpose is to cultivate environments where we can function not just as "resources," but as vital parts of a living, regenerative ecosystem.
