Description
Preparing leadership and communications teams to respond when something goes wrong
The session covers how a crisis unfolds in practice, what different stakeholders need and when, including journalists, regulators, customers, employees and investors, how holding statements are built and cleared, how the internal channel runs alongside the external one, and where the legal position and the public position pull against each other.
The second half is a live simulated incident built around the organisation’s own risk profile, with information arriving incomplete and deadlines running.
Delivered by a senior communications consultant with twelve years of experience leading crisis response across aviation and global tech, including airspace closures, geopolitical disruption, sanctions, safety incidents and technical failures handled in public.
Benefits
- Brings all relevant teams in one room and builds the process and working relationships the company will depend on when it matters
- Raises preparedness across the organisation, not only the few who have handled crises before
- Develops decision-making under uncertainty as a transferable skill the team uses outside of the critical situations
- Runs as an experience rather than a presentation, so the learning is remembered and talked about afterwards
