Description
Format: Group dialogue circle, online or in-person
Description:
This session is a guided dialogue exploring the theme of belonging—what it means to belong to ourselves, each other, and the wider world. Using the Nansen Dialogue method, participants will engage in a safe, inclusive, and structured space where every voice is valued. The session promotes deep listening, empathy, and connection, helping participants reflect on personal and collective experiences of belonging.
Activities & Flow:
1. Welcome & Framing (10 min) – Short grounding practice; introduction to circle principles inspired by the Nansen Dialogue approach (equality, deep listening, dialogue over debate, safety, and trust).
2. Opening Round (15 min) – Each participant shares a brief personal introduction; others listen without interruption.
3. Dialogue Session I (25 min) – Storytelling circle: participants share experiences of belonging or its absence. Followed by reflective listening exercises to highlight emotions and needs.
4. Dialogue Session II (25 min, optional) – Participants explore challenges or questions they carry, connecting insights across stories.
5. Harvest & Meaning-Making (10 min) – Facilitators reflect back collective insights and emerging themes.
