About the Host

A graduate in Jazz Performance at University of the Arts Singapore, Lemuel has been playing the saxophone for over 10 years. Born into a musical family, his mother – a piano teacher and preschool music teacher – introduced him to the piano at an early age, but Lemuel found his true calling with the saxophone at age 13 when he joined the Fairfield Symphonic Band. Later, he joined the Singapore Polytechnic Jazz band and the Diploma in Music and Audio Technology. Lemuel was also part of the Aspire: Five Week Music Performance Intensive at Berklee College of Music, where he studied under Lihi Haruvi, Greg Hopkins, and Mimi Jones. Lemuel has also participated in the Singapore International Jazz Festival 2016 and 2017, the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival 2021 and Jazz in July 2024.
