About Angela-Jo

Ángela-Jo Touza-Medina, M.A., LL.M.
Culturist | Facilitator | Social Impact Strategist
Ángela-Jo Touza-Medina is a cross-cultural facilitator, social impact strategist, and founder of the integration platform LiveGalicia. With more than two decades of international experience, she designs and leads sessions that explore culture, identity, leadership, and community through thoughtful dialogue, storytelling, and experiential learning.

Her work sits at the intersection of culture, wellbeing, and social transformation. Drawing from a career spanning nonprofit leadership, international development, and adult education, Ángela-Jo creates spaces where participants can reflect on how culture shapes the way we work, collaborate, lead, and care for ourselves and others.
She has trained teams, leaders, and communities across Europe, Latin America, and the United States on topics such as intercultural communication, inclusive workplaces, resilience in times of change, and building meaningful connections across difference. Her facilitation style combines intellectual depth with warmth and curiosity, encouraging participants to engage both analytically and personally.

Ángela-Jo previously served as Executive Director of YWCA Greater Austin, where she led a team of more than 30 staff and oversaw programs reaching over 6,000 families annually. She has also worked extensively in immigrant integration, leadership development, and workforce strategy, and has advised numerous mission-driven organizations on organizational culture and systems change.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Law and Criminal Justice from the Open University of Catalonia and a Master’s in International Cooperation and Project Management from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Born in the United States, of Galician origin and now based in Galicia, Spain, Ángela-Jo works in English, Spanish, and Galician and brings a deeply international perspective to conversations about belonging, creativity, and the human dimensions of work and community. Her sessions are ideal for organizations seeking thoughtful, culturally grounded experiences that support creativity, connection, and collective wellbeing.
