Ben Fairey

I'm a singer, songwriter, music producer, voice actor and motion capture artist. I'm lived and worked in the UK, US and Asia. I began my career making music for dance and theatre troupes and later worked as a Jazz singer on the London circuit and session musician for the BBC and ITV. From 2011 to 2015, I released two electronic studio albums and toured the UK under the pseudonym Floe-Joe’s Faces. Using a mixture of analogue and digital sound techniques, I produced a hybrid of both ultra-modern and retro-inspired songs, integrating green screen and motion capture technology into a series of ten videos reflecting the lyrical subject matter. The final result was my album, ‘FutureNature’, one of the few fully visualised albums to be produced in contemporary music. The genres are generally considered electronic but have included elements of trip-hop, dance, R&B and folk. I have performed for large audiences and also more intimate settings where listeners have an opportunity to disconnect and hear the songs as background music whilst they converse with each other.
