
Nenúrio Circus is a circus company founded in 2019 by Calini Detoni, with a research focus on street clowning
and alternative spaces through circus techniques. In 2017, Nenúrio Circus began the creation process of the
show "Biruta, Nua e Crua.” In 2019, it carried out the tour "Flight Plan No. 1," visiting seven Brazilian states with
the shows "Biruta, Nua e Crua" and "Poetic Workshop for Clowns." At the beginning of 2020, it was part of the
programming of various national and São Paulo state festivals, as well as participating in the project "Kombi
Troupes," presenting the show in libraries in the outskirts of São Paulo city. In 2022, it was awarded the PROAC
39/2021 prize for recording the Hula Hoop Workshop. And they perform with the show "Biruta, Bare and Raw"
through the São Paulo Municipal Culture Circuit and other programs, in various Cultural Centers such as Santo
Amaro, Tendal da Lapa, Vila Itororó, Da Diversidade, and Grajaú. They created the duo show "De Última Hora." In
2023, they carried out the project "Circus in the Neighborhoods" through FIA (Childhood and Adolescence Fund).
In 2024, they conducted the tour of the show "Biruta, Bare and Raw" through PROAC 11/2023 and also had the
opportunity to produce the "1st Buracão Clown Festival" through the Paulo Gustavo Law of Iracemápolis. In
2024, they carried out an independent tour and presented "De Última Hora" in the project "Circus in the
Neighborhoods" in Balneário Piçarras, as well as in the São Paulo Municipal Culture Circuit with this new type of
work. In 2025, they will present the tour of the show “De Última Hora” through the Aldir Blanc Law for Culture.
