I’m Emilie, a London-based wellbeing practitioner with a simple belief: taking time to look after ourselves can make a real difference to how we feel, both personally and professionally. I know how easy it is for wellbeing to slip down the list when life is busy. We spend so much of our time working, thinking, organising, looking after other people and moving from one commitment to the next that simply stopping for a while can feel surprisingly difficult. My approach to wellbeing is grounded, practical and very personal. I don’t believe it needs to be complicated, extreme or another thing to get right. Sometimes what we need is movement and energy; at other times, we need to slow down, breathe, rest and give ourselves permission to do very little at all. A large part of my work is about creating that space. I particularly enjoy working with busy professionals and organisations, creating experiences that allow people to step away from the demands of their working day and focus on themselves for a while. I want the environment I create to feel welcoming and inclusive, so that someone who has never tried a wellbeing practice before feels just as comfortable as someone who has been doing it for years. Before moving into wellbeing, I spent more than 20 years working in luxury retail. Having spent much of my career in fast-paced, demanding environments, I understand the pressures that can come with professional life and how easily our own wellbeing can become secondary to everything else that needs our attention. That experience has also shaped the way I work with people today. I value personal connection, discretion and attention to detail, and I take the time to understand the people in front of me rather than assuming that the same approach will work for everyone. My style is warm, calm and down-to-earth. There is no pressure to perform, achieve or be good at relaxing. My aim is simply to give people an opportunity to step away from the noise for a while, reconnect with themselves and leave feeling better than when they arrived — whether that means calmer, lighter, more energised, more grounded or simply refreshed and ready to continue with their day. For me, wellbeing isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about recognising what we need and making a little more space for it in our lives.
