I am a Therapeutic Writing Practitioner specialising in the design and facilitation of psychologically safe spaces where individuals and teams gain insight and build resilience through their creativity and the words they write. My work supports both personal and professional development, offering practical self‑care tools that participants can continue to use long after the session. Crucially, no writing experience is required; I help people discover that the wellbeing benefits of creative expression are accessible to everyone.
My offer also includes interactive themed workshops, longer immersive programmes and retreats, and bespoke 1‑to‑1 sessions. When I work with individually with clients, I draw on an approach I developed that is informed by Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems therapy, supporting them to explore their “inner cast of characters”, such as their inner critic, imposter or people pleaser. Working together on compassionate creative writing exercises, I help clients to understand and befriend their inner characters, encouraging them to turn their negative self-talk into positive self-advocation.
Alongside my therapeutic practice, I bring over 25 years of experience as a Sustainability Advisor, working with organisations to improve performance through systems thinking, behaviour change and culture transformation. I am an experienced trainer, presenter and public speaker, engaging audiences on topics ranging from therapeutic writing to sustainability and organisational wellbeing.
I am also a writer and Humanist celebrant, creating personalised naming and wedding ceremonies that honour the stories and milestone moments of families and couples.
