My name is İrem Aydın. I am a theatre director, writer, researcher, and educator based in Berlin, originally from Istanbul. I studied Spanish Language and Literature at Istanbul University and completed a Master’s degree in Theatre Creation and Digital Storytelling in Madrid. Most recently, I took part in the PEERS pre-doctoral Artistic Research Programme at the Zurich University of the Arts. For over ten years, I have been conceptualising, directing, and writing my own interdisciplinary projects across theatre, video, and digital storytelling formats. My work often combines narrative writing with visual and multimedia elements, exploring contemporary social and political themes through imaginative and speculative approaches. Alongside my artistic practice, I facilitate creative writing workshops focusing on short stories, scriptwriting, theatre texts, poetry, concept development, and synopsis writing. I also offer acting courses, body awareness and movement exercises, and theoretical sessions on art, performance, and storytelling.
